Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)

40. Moon Loonies

Moon Loonies, A Happy Lunar Look at the Gag Side of the Moon, was published by in 1969 by Health Knowledge, Inc., in an 8"x 5" format. It was touted as a quarterly, and the issue in which this cartoon appeared was "No. 1" as stated on the credits page. Whether there was a No. 2, 3 or 4 we could not say. Our issue is imprinted with the sale price of $1.00. Next to that is a sticker: 35¢ each 3 for $1.
Don sold cartoons for the debut copy of Moon Loonies under his aliases Sam de Sade, Di Benvenuto and Kobasa. There were several in this first issue. All cartoons were printed full page.
