Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)
73. Burroughs, July 1969
Burroughs was a magazine of the Burroughs Corp., producer of all types of business office machinery. The company was started in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to Detroit, Michigan, in 1904. Its periodical, published in later years, featured articles on business subjects such as banking and credit cards. Coincidentally and unrelated to the sale of Don's cartoons to Burroughs, Suzy Orehek's mother was a close friend of John and Elsie Coleman of Detroit. John was with Burroughs Corp. starting in 1920 and was president of the company upon his death in 1958.
