Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)

108. The Cracked Book of Shut Ups!

(Don't forget to click on the image for a closer look.)
It's amazing what you find in an artist's studio if you dig deep enough. This "Cracked Digest" was a complete surprise when it jumped out from among the stuff in Don's floor-to-ceiling bookcase (nine shelves, 8 x 8 feet). The Cracked Book of Shut Ups! was published July 1987 by Globe Communications Corp., New York, Cracked Mazagine's (sic) owner at the time. The inside front page of the digest includes the following disclaimer: Names, places and people told to shut up in this magazine are ficticious and any similarity to anything real, without satiric intent, is one of them wicked weird coincidences. Maybe the fine print in legal contracts is really humorous; only the very few that have read them would know.
