Here are two cartoons from the automotive parts magazine called Parts Pups. The cartoons were an enticement to open the magazine and look at what NAPA Auto Parts had to offer. Also in its pages were old-style cheesecake photos of beautiful girls in bathing suits or shorts. The editor didn't pay a lot, but he gets our prize for most polite enclosing a hand-written apology when his reply was "no sale".
The cartoon on the left was printed April 1986. We don't have a print date for the other one.
Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)
