Here's a real oldie. This cartoon is from the Oct.-Nov. 1951 issue of Army Laughs. (See post #33 for another Army Laughs cartoon.) Don's signature on the cartoon here is one of several he used before he found the one he liked best. According to Don he developed the signature he still uses today about the time he began free-lancing permanently. That was 1956.
Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)
