This monthly magazine by its title was obviously a big cartoon market, but they only paid $15.00 per gag. Still, $15.00 in those days would buy a dinner out for two with wine.
This cartoon was printed full page on the inside front cover in a February issue in the early 1960s. The exact year is not known.

Ah, who can believe that there was ever a magazine like "1000 Jokes" (and "For Laughing Out Loud"). This cartoon looks very familiar, and I had some stuff in the Feb '64issue, so maybe that's the year.
(They also paid $15 for an 18-line verse.)
