This gag was reprinted in a Russian language magazine called Ameryka in 1969. Don't ask us where it was published. If anyone can read the Cyrillic writing, please send a comment and let us know what it says.
The caption is something like this: "Take this prescription to any barber shop."
Of course 1969 was the time of long hair inspired by the Beattles in the early sixties. If you look at a picture of them as they first appeared in the U.S. on the Ed Sullivan Show, it's surprising to see that their hair is actually pretty short!
Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)
