Editor Lawrence Lariar did a series of cartoon books with the title Best Cartoons of the Year. Some titles also included the year; others did not. For this book, you have to look at the copyright page to find out that the cartoons are from 1967 and 1968 -- sort of a fiscal year! As shown above the caption, Don's vultures first appeared in the National Enquirer. We seem to recall that the gagline was a take off on some often heard advertising slogan. Toothpaste? Mouthwash? We don't recall what, and a web search didn't supply the answer, so if you know send us a comment.
