Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)
225. Country Wide
We can't tell you anything about Country Wide magazine that bought this cartoon (redrawn here) in April 1969 other than it must have been male, even sports oriented. This conclusion is based on six cartoons the editors bought at the same time, three of which had a boxing theme. One of them showed a fight manager talking to a beat up boxer. He says, "The medical school you pledged your body to saw the fight on TV. . . I said you were OK." Couldn't that be a sequel to the cartoon shown here!
