The idea for this cartoon goes way back! Not only do old T.V.s rarely get repaired any more, but surely repairmen, like doctors, no longer make house calls. Today's baby sitter is probably content to text away the time while she earns more per hour than the T.V repairman in the gag got. (Published July 14, 1966)
