Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)

102. Saturday Series

This is the other publication from one of Don's cartooning classes. (See the first one below.) This program, in Manhasset's Shelter Rock elementary school on Long Island, went on for more years than any other. Don says he started teaching on Saturday mornings about 1977. After a few years he had two classes: beginners and intermediates. The earliest Manhasset brochure we have using Don's artwork is dated Fall 1982 and is like the one shown here except it is printed on blue stock. Yellow also was used. (Can you find Don's caricature in the artwork?)

Other locations for Don's cartooning classes were in Glenwood Landing, Glen Head, NY, and Sea Cliff, NY. These were after school programs for elementary school students.

The adult class Don had was titled "Drawing Caricatures." It was offered by the Roslyn (NY) Adult Continuing Education in the Fall 1983. Don says "it was hard for them to learn to do caricatures." That class was short lived.
