Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)

114. The Teen Scene

The Teen Scene is a hardcover book published by Dodd, Mead & Company in 1966. It was edited by Lawrence Lariar who put together a lot of cartoon anthologies and also was cartoon editor for Parade, the Sunday newspaper supplement. A blurb by Lariar on the front cover inside flap includes this: "The teen-age world is a land of strange surprises. The average girl falls in love at fourteen, falls out again at fifteen, marries at seventeen and is sqabbling with her young husband before twenty." That was 43 years ago!
