Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)

115. You've Got Me in Stitches

You've Got Me in Stitches was published in 1973. This appropriate title for medical cartoons is another book edited by Lawrence Lariar. The front inside jacket proclaims: "This manual of medical mirth, first published two decades ago, has been updated to include the freshest and funniest stock of hospital humor, more than one hundred cartoons, many new, some old favorites, all guaranteed to provide hours of enjoyment. . . "

The first version was published in 1954 when Don's career was barely five years old. In the 1973 version he has eight cartoons. Of course! The front cover proclaims: "A new collection of the funniest hospital cartoons by the the nation's foremost comic artists."
