Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)

126. The Wall at The Palm

A surprising reminder of a place where Don's work appears came today via an e-mail from one of daughter Holly's friends. She was dining at The Palm restaurant in New York City when she looked up at the wall and saw a cartoon done by her friend's father. She snapped the signature with her camera phone and e-mailed it to Holly who sent it on to us. So here it is. The full cartoon shows two camels in the desert, one male and one female. The male camel says "Your oasis or mine?"
Don originally did a framed version of this gag for The Palm in Washington, D.C. when it first opened in 1972. He also has several caricatures on the wall of the original Palm in New York City.
