A four-page article about Long Island cartoonists featuring Don Orehek appeared in The Newsday Magazine, a Sunday supplement to the daily newspaper, on Nov. 6, 1983. Here is part of the article including the blurb about Don and three of his "suburban" cartoons.
The captions are:
"You ought to see the inside of their house!"
"Speed it up a little. The second baseman's got to take a nap at two o'clock."
"I think you should know that the majority of the residents in this neighborhood would rather you didn't have children."
Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)
