Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)

171. The Priest

Another Catholic publication that bought cartoons in the 80s was The Priest. The top drawing on the right (redrawn here) was purchased in May 1986.
Hitchhikers are a good subject for cartoonists. Just imagine anyone trying to go to a place with which they are associated. That's what the fellow in the second cartoon is doing. Don did sell this gag, but where escapes us. We'll let you know if we find out.
Don't forget to double click on the cartoons for a closer view.
Feb. 15, 2010: The "Hunchback" cartoon was published by Gallery magazine, July 1976.
