The title refers to shooting as in "hunting" as you can guess from this cartoon which Shooting Times bought from Don in November 1968. He redrew it for his blog since he doesn't have a copy, and he added the color. Seemed like the rubber duckies just had to be yellow, and then there's the sunrise!Currently there are at least two magazines with the same title, one American and one British. The former is probably the publication that bought Don's cartoon all those years ago.
