Don has sold a LOT of cartoons in his career. Each numbered cartoon or illustration on the left side of this Blog is from a DIFFERENT magazine, newspaper, etc. Let's see if we can find out the total number of publications (places) where Don's work has appeared . . . . . (An unnumbered posting is a duplicate publication.)

133. Maclean's

Maclean's is a Canadian national weekly current affairs magazine. As such we don't see it in New York (as least not without a visit to a specialty newsstand), but luckily when most every publication included cartoons that didn't prevent Maclean's from buying from U.S. cartoonists like Don. Sales to it were not extensive, but one here and there certainly was welcome, and, we seem to recall, they paid in U.S. dollars. This cartoon was published November 1968.

129. The Artist's Magazine

With an avid artist in the family, like the one in this cartoon, the turkey could really get cold. Not that Don ever "drew" the table at Thanksgiving, but if he had the turkey would have still been hot. He's a quick draw as they say in the old west!

Strangely, this cartoon was printed in the January 1987 issue of The Artist's Magazine. Oh, yeah, maybe it's a Christmas turkey since, as we know, magazines come out the month before. Happy Thanksgiving anyway!
